Silicon IP Program Manager
Role Summary
The Silicon IP Program Manager leads customer-facing IP delivery programs from kickoff through post-silicon support, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet schedules, milestones, and quality targets. The role operates across analog IP, digital IP, and SoC integration efforts and reports program health to customers and internal leadership.
Experience Level
Senior — typically expects 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
Responsibilities
Manage and drive IP program delivery, ensuring on-time, high-quality results for customer tape-outs.
- Serve as primary customer contact for program delivery and post-silicon support.
- Own program schedules, milestones, statements of work, and deliverables.
- Coordinate global cross-functional teams: design, verification, applications, and sales.
- Identify technical, resource, and schedule risks early and drive mitigation plans.
- Report program status and blockers to internal leadership and customers to enable timely action.
- Drive adoption of program management standards and continuous improvement across the IP organization.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Proven technical program management experience in SoC design, analog IP, or digital IP development.
- Direct experience managing customer-facing programs with ownership of schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows, IP integration challenges, and tape-out drivers.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional, distributed teams without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to surface risks early, escalate appropriately, and drive mitigation to closure.
Nice-to-have: experience with post-silicon support, formal SOW ownership, and multi-timezone program coordination.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent; equivalent practical experience accepted. The posting specifies "BSEE or equivalent."
