Silicon IP Program Manager

Role Summary

Lead customer-facing program delivery for Synopsys silicon IP across analog IP, digital IP, and SoC integration. Coordinate global, cross-functional teams to ensure schedules, milestones, and deliverables are met for high-stakes tape-out programs.

This role focuses on risk identification, mitigation, and clear stakeholder communication to keep IP delivery on schedule and reduce integration friction.

Experience Level

Senior β€” expects 8+ years of semiconductor industry experience (the posting references candidates with a decade or more of experience and multiple senior levels available).

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end program delivery and drive actions that keep customer tape-outs on schedule.

  • Serve as primary customer contact throughout program delivery, from kickoff through post-silicon support.
  • Own SOWs, program schedules, milestones, and deliverables across analog, digital, and SoC efforts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional global teams including design, verification, applications, and sales.
  • Identify technical, resource, and schedule risks early and drive mitigation plans.
  • Report program health and blockers to internal leadership and customers in a concise, action-oriented manner.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and follow through to resolution while maintaining customer trust.

Requirements

Must-have technical program management skills and semiconductor domain knowledge.

  • Proven technical program management experience in SoC design, analog IP, or digital IP development.
  • Direct experience managing customer-facing programs with ownership of schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows, IP integration challenges, and what it takes to get a chip to tape out.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional, geographically distributed teams without direct authority.
  • Skilled at spotting schedule dependencies and risks early and driving practical mitigation.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent technical degree; equivalent practical experience accepted. The posting references technical degrees in electrical/computer engineering or related technical fields.
