Silicon Engineer
Role Summary
ASIC design engineer within Meta Infrastructure working on ASICs for machine learning, video transcoding, and network acceleration.
Work focuses on micro-architecture and RTL development, IP selection and integration, and collaboration across verification and implementation teams to deliver silicon that meets timing and power targets.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early Career - typical expectation: ~2+ years of relevant ASIC micro‑architecture and RTL experience.
Responsibilities
Design and integrate complex control and datapath IP and drive implementation toward silicon delivery.
- Architecture exploration and micro‑architecture development.
- RTL design and development for control and datapath blocks.
- Identify, evaluate and integrate soft and hard IP; coordinate with verification and emulation teams on test plans and debug.
- Collaborate with implementation teams to achieve timing and power closure.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 2+ years experience in micro‑architecture and RTL development for complex control and datapath IPs, or experience in SoC micro‑architecture, design and integration.
- RTL development experience using Verilog, SystemVerilog and HLS.
Nice-to-have.
- Experience with CPU, NoC, memory and peripheral subsystems.
- Experience with synthesis, timing closure and formal verification methodologies.
- Experience in datapath development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (completed prior to joining) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related areas is listed as preferred.
