Silicon Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Silicon Design Engineer position involves developing the Control Fabric (CF) IP, which supports AMD's SoCs. The role focuses on innovative technologies related to system resets, network-on-chip, data compression, advanced power management, and clocking.

Experience Level

Mid-level, as the candidate is expected to have relevant experience in IP design and SoC development.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

• Block and subsystem level micro-architecture, RTL design, static verification, synthesis, and timing closure.
• Delivering high-quality CF IP to SoCs while meeting defined metrics for power, area, timing, and schedules.

Requirements

Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:

• Experience with system IP design in complex SoCs.
• Strong skills in Verilog HDL or System Verilog.
• Knowledge of AMBA (AXI/AHB/APB) buses.
• Familiarity with the Front-End design and implementation flow.
• Understanding of synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), and clock domain crossing (CDC).
• Network-on-chip experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in global collaboration.
• Experience in low power design is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Perl/Python scripting.
• Leadership or mentorship experience is beneficial.
• Fluent in English (listening, speaking, and writing).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
