Signal Integrity Intern, MS - 2027 Co-Op
Role Summary
Work with the Central Engineering - AMS Signal Integrity (SI) team to develop and validate interconnect SI/PI design rules and automated simulation workflows for Marvell AMS IPs. Tasks support floorplan, RDL, interposer, package and PCB routing analysis to meet high-speed system performance targets.
Hourly base pay range: CAD 30–41 per hour.

Entry-level internship / co-op position.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop scripting tools (Python, MATLAB) to automate SI/PI simulation and data-processing workflows.
- Create and maintain automated trace/via design rule models for floorplan, RDL, bump patterns, interposer, and package routing.
- Perform 2D/3D electromagnetic (EM) modeling and simulation using tools such as Ansys 3D Layout or Cadence Sigrity.
- Post-process SI/PI simulation results to extract key metrics, generate summary reports, and support design decisions.
- Collaborate with IP design, physical design, and package/PCB teams throughout the product lifecycle to ensure SI/PI compliance.
Requirements
Minimum technical skills and qualifications:
- Basic understanding of signal integrity fundamentals: transmission line theory, electromagnetic (EM), and microwave concepts.
- Familiarity with analog and digital circuit fundamentals.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation and data processing (Python or MATLAB).
- Strong oral and written communication and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Nice-to-have: experience with SPICE or circuit-level SI/PI simulation tools.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a master’s degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related field with an expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
