Signal and Power Integrity Staff Engineer

Role Summary

As a Staff Engineer in Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI), you will model, simulate, and verify high-speed interface performance across die, package, and PCB, and lead SI/PI research and methodology improvements. You will collaborate with global SoC/PKG/PCB teams to enable SI/PI sign-off and provide technical guidance to customers.

Experience Level

Senior — minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include SI/PI analysis, verification, methodology development, and cross-team collaboration.

• Review die, package, and PCB physical layouts for SI/PI issues.
• Model, simulate, and verify transmission lines and high-speed interfaces in time and frequency domains.
• Validate performance of interfaces (DDR, HBM, UCIE, PCIe, Ethernet) against specifications.
• Improve SI/PI methodology and flows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Independently drive SI/PI research and development initiatives and next‑generation IP work.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams on task-oriented projects and provide technical support to customers.

Requirements

Essential skills and experience. "Nice-to-have" items are indicated.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant SI/PI experience at senior level.
• Proficient in transmission line theory and time/frequency-domain analysis.
• Experience using SPICE; familiar with 3D field solvers.
• Working knowledge of high-speed interfaces: DDR, HBM, UCIE, PCIe, Ethernet.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Nice-to-have: scripting experience in Python and TCL.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
