Signal and Power Integrity Principal Application Engineer
Role Summary
Principal Application Engineer focused on signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) for package and PCB design. The role supports customers by analyzing system environments, recommending engineering solutions, and coordinating technical activities with Cadence R&D, product engineering, sales, and marketing.

Responsibilities
The engineer will provide technical leadership and customer-facing engineering support across SI/PI topics.
- Analyze customer environments and evaluate appropriate engineering and EDA solutions.
- Provide technical leadership on a wide range of SI/PI projects and anticipate technical issues.
- Develop and present technical solutions to customers and internal teams (medium to large audiences).
- Collaborate with Cadence R&D, product engineering, marketing, and sales to address customer requirements.
- Work on-site with customers independently to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction.
Requirements

- In-depth EDA industry knowledge and hands-on expertise in signal integrity and power integrity for package and PCB design.
- Strong background in electromagnetics, thermal, and RF issues related to package and PCB design.
- Experience with Cadence Allegro platform tools such as Sigrity, Clarity, Celsius, PCB Editor, IC Package, or equivalent competitive tools.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical content clearly to varied audiences.
- Ability to work independently with customers and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve customer success.
Education Requirements
Preferred: Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. The posting specifies 5+ years of related experience.
