Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - New College Graduate (2027)
NVIDIAJob Title
Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - New College Graduate (2027)
Role Summary
Work on board- and system-level signal and power integrity for high-speed NVIDIA semiconductor products from NVIDIA's Shenzhen site. Collaborate with Architecture, ASIC, Package, PCB, Mixed-Signal, and Validation teams to define SI/PI requirements, perform design and post-layout analysis, and support failure analysis and customer-facing questions.
Opportunity to develop SI/PI modeling algorithms, correlate simulations with lab measurements, and influence PCB and system designs for high-performance products.
Experience Level
Entry-level - New college graduate (2027). Intended for recent graduates (MS/PhD) with limited industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Drive board and system-level SI requirements and verification.
- Lead SI design activities: PCB stackup and material selection, design guide implementation, layout review, and post-layout analysis.
- Collaborate with Architecture, ASIC, Mixed-Signal, Package, PCB Design, and Validation teams to ensure SI/PI performance prior to fabrication and support failure analysis.
- Develop algorithms and methodologies to improve SI/PI modeling and analysis workflows.
- Perform VNA and TDR measurements and correlate lab data with simulation models.
- Support Application Engineering and customers on SI/PI questions.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Deep understanding of electromagnetics, including transmission line theory and via properties.
- Familiarity with electromagnetic and circuit simulation tools such as HFSS, Sigrity, Hspice, or equivalents.
- Exposure to lab measurements, specifically VNA and TDR.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated interest and motivation for SI/PI work.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with high-speed I/O design concepts: clock generation, transmitter/receiver design, and equalization schemes.
- Experience with PDN analysis, model generation, and time-domain simulation.
- Experience with Matlab or Python for analysis and tooling.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (explicitly stated). No other degree fields or equivalents are specified.
