Senior VLSI Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Join the NVIDIA System-On-Chip (SOC) group to drive RTL integration, SOC design automation, chip build and assembly, and padring design and verification. You will work on complex networking chips and coordinate across ASIC, Physical Design, CAD, Package Design, Software, DFT and verification teams.

The role focuses on enabling efficient SOC creation through methodology and automation improvements, and on resolving functional and structural chip-level issues.

Experience Level

Senior — 7+ years of chip design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include chip-level integration tasks, cross-team collaboration, and flow development.

• Implement chip-level design through collaboration with functional design, DFT, verification, STA, and physical design teams.
• Perform functional debug and resolve design quality and structural issues.
• Prepare designs for physical implementation, emulation, and customer delivery.
• Work on partitioning, CDC/RDC closure, trial synthesis, and design quality checks.
• Participate in development and deployment of integration and automation flows.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 7+ years of practical ASIC/chip design experience.
• Hands-on RTL design skills using SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or Tcl).
• Experience with partitioning, CDC/RDC, trial synthesis, and design quality processes.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience delivering to physical design, emulation, firmware, or other internal customers.
• Passion for quality and automation-driven methodology improvements.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (as specified in the posting).
