Senior VLSI Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for chip-level integration of complex SoCs, working across functional design, DFT, verification, STA, physical design, package, and software teams to deliver manufacturable silicon.
Work includes RTL integration, design-quality checks, emulation readiness, and deployment of integration automation and flows.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 7+ years of ASIC/SoC design and integration experience.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute integration activities required to bring complex SoCs to tape-out and delivery.
- Implement chip-level design and integration in collaboration with Functional Design, DFT, Design Verification, System Verification, STA, and Physical Design teams.
- Perform partitioning, CDC/RDC analysis, trial synthesis, and design-quality checks.
- Debug functional and structural issues and resolve design-quality problems.
- Support emulation and physical-design readiness and handoff activities.
- Develop and deploy integration and automation flows to improve SOC creation efficiency.
- Coordinate with package, firmware, and software teams during bring-up.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required.
- 7+ years of ASIC/SoC chip design and integration experience.
- Strong RTL design skills in SystemVerilog.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, Tcl).
- Practical experience with CDC analysis, synthesis flows, and design-for-test considerations.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; effective cross-functional teammate.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience delivering designs to physical design, emulation, or firmware customers.
- Demonstrated focus on quality and automation in integration flows.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
