Senior Verification Engineer, Switch SoC

Role Summary

Verify next-generation Switch SoC designs in the Networking Chip Design team based in Bengaluru. The role focuses on developing verification infrastructure, validating architecture and micro-architecture, and ensuring SoC-level correctness in collaboration with architecture, micro-architecture and firmware teams. Hybrid position based in Bengaluru.

Senior - typically requires 4+ years of design verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Verify switch architecture and micro-architecture using advanced verification methodologies.
• Build reference models and implement simulations for chip blocks/entities per specifications.
• Define verification scope; design and develop verification infrastructure and test plans.
• Create and run tests to validate correctness at block and SoC levels.
• Integrate verification results and coordinate with Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and Firmware teams.
• Use SV-UVM, e-specman, and other verification environments to exercise designs.
• Debug failures, perform root-cause analysis, and improve verification coverage.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications.

• Must-have: 4+ years of experience in design verification.
• Must-have: Experience with HDLs (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and verification methodologies (SV-UVM, e-specman or equivalent).
• Must-have: Experience with commercial simulators (Cadence or equivalent) and hardware debug tools (for example Indago, GDB).
• Must-have: Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience with Ethernet or InfiniBand switches, smartNICs/DPUs, or high-speed interconnects.
• Nice-to-have: Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or shell) for automation and test development.
• Nice-to-have: Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Education Requirements

BS (or equivalent practical experience) or MS; the posting explicitly allows equivalent experience in place of a degree.
