Senior Verification Engineer, PCIe
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Verification Engineer, PCIe
Role Summary
Verify design and implementation of next-generation PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. Work on verification planning, infrastructure, and execution using modern methodologies and collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams.
This work directly affects GPU and AI product lines.
Experience Level
Senior - 4+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary verification responsibilities include test planning, environment and model development, and cross-team coordination.
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models, and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels using verification methodologies such as UVM.
- Build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and implement verification infrastructure to validate correctness.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre- and post-silicon teams to resolve issues and close verification gaps.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 4+ years of verification experience at Unit, Sub-system, or SoC level.
- Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (PCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing and working in functional-coverage-based constrained-random verification environments.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Deep knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above).
- Understanding of system-level PCIe/CXL architecture.
- Scripting or software experience (Perl, Python, or similar).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
