Senior Verification Engineer, PCIE
Role Summary
Verify the design and implementation of PCI Express controllers used in NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs at IP and subsystem levels. Work on verification infrastructure, tests, and coverage-driven methodologies to ensure correctness of PCIE controllers.
Experience Level
Senior - 5+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on functional verification of PCIE controller IP/sub-systems and building reusable verification infrastructure.
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIE controllers at IP/sub-system levels using verification methodologies such as UVM.
- Build reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans, create tests and verification infrastructure, and validate design correctness.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon verification teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 5+ years of relevant verification experience.
- Experience in verification at Unit/Sub-system/SoC level.
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (for example PCI Express, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing and working in functional coverage-based constrained-random verification environments.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM/VMM and industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Deep knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above) and system-level architecture of PCIe/CXL designs.
- Scripting or software skills (Perl, Python or similar).
- Strong debugging, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
B.Tech. or M.Tech. or equivalent practical experience.
