Senior Verification Engineer, PCIe
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Verification Engineer, PCIe
Role Summary
Verify the design and implementation of next-generation PCIe controllers used in NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. Work on IP and sub-system level verification, developing verification infrastructure, tests, and coverage-driven verification environments.
Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre- and post-silicon teams to ensure correctness and quality of PCIe controller implementations.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute verification for ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels.
- Design and build reusable bus functional models (BFMs), monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and implement verification infrastructure.
- Create and run constrained-random and directed tests to exercise functional coverage goals.
- Debug functional failures, analyze root causes, and track issues to closure with design teams.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and silicon verification teams across pre- and post-silicon phases.
Requirements
Summary of must-have and nice-to-have qualifications.
Must-have:
- 5+ years of relevant verification experience.
- Experience in verification at Unit / Sub-system / SoC level; expertise in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Proven experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (for example PCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing and working in functional-coverage-based constrained-random verification environments.
- Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Strong knowledge of PCIe protocol (Gen3 and above) and system-level PCIe/CXL architecture.
- Scripting or software experience (Perl, Python or similar).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and interpersonal/teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
B.Tech. or M.Tech. degree, or equivalent practical experience.
