Senior Verification Engineer, PCIE

Role Summary

Verify design and implementation of next-generation PCI Express controllers used in GPUs and SoCs. Work on IP and sub-system level verification, develop verification infrastructure, and collaborate with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires 5+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Plan and execute verification for ASIC design, architecture, golden models and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels.
• Develop reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards following coverage-driven verification methodology.
• Define verification scope from design specifications, create test plans and tests, and build verification infrastructure.
• Implement functional coverage and constrained-random tests and analyze coverage results.
• Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon verification teams to debug and close verification gaps.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

• 5+ years of relevant verification experience.
• Experience in verification at Unit, Sub-system, or SoC level.
• Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Experience verifying IP or interconnect protocols (PCI Express, USB, SATA).
• Experience developing functional-coverage-based constrained-random verification environments.
• Familiarity with DV methodologies such as UVM or VMM and industry standard simulation/debug tools.
• Ability to define verification scope, develop test plans and verification infrastructure, and verify design correctness.

Nice-to-have:

• In-depth PCIe protocol knowledge (Gen3 and above) and understanding of PCIe/CXL system-level architecture.
• Scripting or software experience (Perl, Python, or similar).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and interpersonal/teamwork skills.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. (or equivalent practical experience). Fields not explicitly limited; equivalent industry experience is accepted.
