Role Summary

This position is an opportunity for an experienced verification engineer to join the Arm Systems Media IP team. The team develops Image Signal Processors (ISPs), Display Processors, and Video codecs for various markets, including automotive and IoT.

Experience Level

Senior level with extensive experience in verification engineering.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Verification ownership of unit level or multi-unit hierarchy, or verification lead of an overall IP.
  • Architecting verification IP and full verification environments.
  • Reviewing proposed design changes concerning verification complexity.
  • Analyzing simulation runs using machine learning and data science techniques.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements in hardware verification.
  • Collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure high quality IP.
  • Mentoring and supporting team members.

Requirements

Required skills and experience include:

  • Experience with constrained-random verification and development of testbenches.
  • Proficiency in SV-UVM.
  • Strong scripting skills for new and existing flows.
  • Solid software engineering background including object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with tools and processes for developing testbenches.

Nice-to-have skills include:

  • Multiprocessing microarchitecture experience and knowledge of bus protocols.
  • Experience with Formal Verification testbenches.
  • Knowledge of video codec, ISP, or display projects.
  • Experience in Functional Safety product development for automotive.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration flows.
