Senior Verification Engineer - IP Verification
Role Summary
The Systems team develops IP and subsystems for multiple application segments with emphasis on AI use cases. This role verifies complex IP (for example: crypto accelerators, HW DVFS, PCIe controllers, interconnect fabrics) to ensure correct function and integration with software and other IP blocks.
Salary range: £73,500–£99,500 per year.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning, implementing and validating verification for complex IP and collaborating across engineering teams.
- Define verification methodology and write detailed test plans.
- Develop C-based software tests and assembly tests for SoC-level verification.
- Implement SystemVerilog/Verilog testbenches and test cases (UVM and other approaches).
- Debug failures, analyse root causes and drive fixes with design and software teams.
- Coordinate with project management on task planning, schedules and progress reporting.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, modelling, silicon validation, FPGA and board teams.

Must-have: Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and digital hardware verification.

Must-have: Experience with verification approaches such as UVM, formal verification, and power-aware verification (UPF).

Must-have: SoC verification experience including low-level embedded programming in C/C++ and assembly (preferably ARM).

Must-have: Familiarity with IP/SoC verification flow, clock domain crossing verification, and DFT/GLS techniques.

Must-have: Scripting/automation skills (Tcl, Perl, Python, shell) and strong debugging/problem-solving ability.

Preferred: Exposure to formal tools (JasperGold/VC formal), hardware security/cryptography, and ARM proprietary tools/environments.

Preferred: Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and interest in applying AI-based methods to verification.
