Job Title
Senior Verification Engineer - HSIO Cluster and SOC
Role Summary
Owner of HSIO IP cluster and SoC-level verification for automotive Tegra-class chips. Work on verification of high-performance CPU/memory subsystems, NOC interconnect, and high-speed I/Os.
Join the automotive verification group to develop cluster- and system-level testbenches, drive verification closure, and collaborate with architects, designers, FPGA and post-silicon teams.
Experience Level
Senior. The posting requests over 4 years of verification experience; the role expects significant hands-on ownership of complex unit, subsystem, or SoC verification.
Responsibilities
Primary verification responsibilities for cluster and SoC scope.
- Develop verification components and APIs for cluster and system-level testbenches.
- Verify high-speed IO IPs and subsystems (USB, UFS, MPHY, Ethernet, MACSEC) and rapid data-transfer paths.
- Architect testbenches and build verification environments using SystemVerilog and C/C++ methodologies.
- Define test plans, write tests, and develop verification infrastructure for clusters and systems.
- Implement bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards that are efficient and reusable.
- Implement functional coverage and drive SoC-level verification closure.
- Work cross-functionally with architects, designers, FPGA, and post-silicon teams to ensure unit robustness.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by desirable additions.
- Over 4 years of hands-on experience in verification closure of complex units, subsystems, or SoC-level verification.
- Proven experience in High-Speed IO verification (examples: UFS, PCIe, XUSB); knowledge of 10G/1G Ethernet MAC and switch behavior.
- Experience with modern verification methodologies and languages such as SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills; familiarity with industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work in cross-cultural, matrixed teams.
-
Nice-to-have: experience using AI coding assistants, exposure to formal verification, and a focus on automation and process improvement.
Education Requirements
BTech or MTech in Electrical & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), or an equivalent degree is required.
