Job Title

Senior Verification Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Verification Engineer will define and execute verification strategies for IP, subsystem and SoC designs based on Arm architectures. The role develops SystemVerilog/UVM environments, embedded tests, and power-aware verification to ensure functional correctness and performance of complex SoCs.

Works within the Hardware Engineering verification team in Bengaluru and partners with Architecture, Design, Modeling, Performance, Validation, FPGA and Software teams to close coverage and resolve silicon issues.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 3–12 years of experience in IP, Subsystem, or SoC verification (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include planning and executing verification for IP/subsystem/SoC and maintaining reusable verification infrastructure.

  • Develop and execute verification strategies at IP, subsystem and SoC levels.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain reusable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments and components.
  • Verify complex functionality: CPU, PCIe, Security, DDR/subsystem, cache coherency and CHI interconnects, and SoC scenarios/performance.
  • Create verification plans, test methodologies, test cases, and coverage closure strategies.
  • Develop embedded software tests using C/C++ and Arm assembly.
  • Drive closure of functional, code, toggle, assertion, and formal coverage metrics.
  • Perform power-aware verification using UPF and validate power architectures.
  • Debug RTL, testbench and silicon issues and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve them.

Requirements

Must-have skills are listed first; a few preferred skills follow.

  • Must-have: 3–12 years of IP, subsystem or SoC verification experience; strong Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge; hands-on development of SV/UVM verification environments.
  • Must-have: Understanding of Arm CPU architectures, SoC integration and verification flows, memory hierarchy, coherency protocols, interconnects and interrupt architecture.
  • Must-have: Experience writing embedded tests in C/C++ and Arm assembly; strong debugging and problem-solving skills; experience with functional, code, toggle and assertion coverage closure.
  • Must-have: Power-aware verification experience (UPF) and scripting/automation using Python, Perl, Tcl or shell.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with CHI/interconnect verification, formal methods, performance/scenario verification, and full verification lifecycle (requirements analysis through coverage closure).

Education Requirements

Not specified.
