Senior Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Verification Engineer in Applications Engineering, responsible for planning, developing, and executing functional verification of processor and SoC designs. Works with design and software teams to validate RTL, identify issues, and improve product quality.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 5+ years of verification or related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities may include:

  • Develop and execute verification plans and testbenches for RTL designs.
  • Implement UVM/SystemVerilog test environments and verification IP.
  • Design and run regression suites using simulators and emulation platforms.
  • Debug design failures, analyze root causes, and drive issue closure with design teams.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and software engineers to define verification scope and coverage.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to verification process improvements and automation.

Requirements

Key requirements and preferred skills:

  • Must-have: Proven experience in functional verification, testbench development, and debugging.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM; familiarity with simulators (e.g., VCS, Questa) and verification flows.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Shell) for automation and regression management.
  • Strong RTL understanding and ability to read/interpret Verilog/VHDL.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with ARM processor architectures, SoC verification, formal verification, or emulation platforms.
