FractileJob Title
Senior Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead pre-silicon RTL verification for Fractile's ML/AI inference IC products, working closely with modelling, system architecture and RTL design teams to ensure functional correctness and tape-out quality. This role focuses on verification planning, testbench development and cross-discipline collaboration to drive high-quality RTL releases.
Experience Level
Senior β preferred 6+ years of relevant industry experience in RTL verification, software-driven hardware verification, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
Execute and improve verification strategy, tools and workflows to maximize functional quality and reduce time-to-tape-out.
- Define verification plans from specifications and set coverage goals.
- Design and implement testbenches and verification environments (UVM, cocotb, SystemC, etc.).
- Create stimulus, checkers and assertions; develop directed and randomized tests.
- Debug RTL using waveforms and simulation to identify and resolve functional defects.
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL design and modelling teams on specification and verification closures.
- Improve automation, monorepo workflows and integration between hardware and software toolchains.
Requirements
Key technical requirements (must-haves) and desirable skills (nice-to-have).
- Must-have: Strong software skills β Python or another object-oriented language (e.g. C++).
- Must-have: Solid understanding of digital hardware concepts and ability to read and debug RTL in SystemVerilog.
- Must-have: Familiarity with waveform debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Must-have: Proven track record in fast-paced, high-performance delivery teams and ownership of verification work.
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on pre-silicon RTL verification experience (UVM, SystemC or equivalent).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with cocotb, Verilator, Icarus Verilog, commercial EDA tools, or formal verification.
- Nice-to-have: Transaction-level modelling, coverage definition/closure, checker creation and functional modelling of hardware blocks.
