Senior Tools Development Engineer
Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's GPU SWQA team in Pune to design and build tools and automated tests for device drivers and SDKs on Windows. The role focuses on applying AI techniques to automate test cases and improving QA workflows across GPU platforms.
This is a fully onsite role collaborating with engineering teams to expose defects, measure coverage, and drive test automation initiatives.

Senior-level. The role expects approximately 5+ years of professional programming and test-automation experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing test automation, building tools, and driving QA quality metrics.
- Design and implement automated tests that incorporate AI techniques for Windows device drivers and SDKs.
- Build tools, utilities, and frameworks (Python, C#, or equivalent) to automate and optimize GPU testing workflows.
- Develop and execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, report defects, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Measure and improve code and test coverage; propose and implement coverage enhancements.
- Debug complex issues across GPU/CPU/SoC platforms and PC I/O interfaces; isolate root causes and drive fixes to closure.
- Write maintainable, well-documented code; perform and provide peer code reviews focused on performance, scalability, and correctness.
- Report test coverage and Go/No-Go status, escalate critical issues, and help prioritize remediation.
- Estimate and prioritize tasks to produce realistic delivery schedules; produce actionable progress reports for leadership.

- Proven programming experience (Python, C#, or equivalent) with solid Object-Oriented Programming skills.
- Experience applying AI/ML tools or techniques to automate test cases and QA workflows.
- Hands-on Python scripting skills (data structures, regex, package management, scripting best practices).
- Familiarity with Windows OS internals and driver-level testing on Windows platforms.
- Deep understanding of GPU, CPU, and SoC architectures and PC I/O subsystems (PCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience with databases and storage technologies such as SQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience debugging, isolating regressions, and contributing fixes; familiarity with CI/CD test integration.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work onsite in Pune and engage directly with engineering teams.
Education Requirements
B.S. / B.Tech / M.S. in Computer Science or Electronics & Telecommunication, or equivalent practical experience.
