Senior Test Resident Engineer
Role Summary
Support manufacturing test release and production sustaining for new and existing semiconductor products at supplier test sites. The role focuses on deploying products to suppliers, improving test performance (yield, OEE, failure reduction), resolving quality issues, and driving process improvements.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary accountabilities include preparing products for production at supplier test sites and sustaining test operations.
- Support product manufacturing test release across wafer probe, packaged test, and module test; lead qualification, validation, and production ramp activities.
- Diagnose and improve test software and hardware to address repair, test yield, inline QA failures, and customer returns.
- Analyze production material excursions and coordinate material disposition with MRB.
- Drive continuous process improvement and Best Known Methods (BKM) programs to reduce defects.
- Support and close quality audit findings at supplier test factories.
- Lead or support business-driven projects such as new-site certification and resilience transfers.
Requirements

- Minimum 5 years' experience in product engineering or test engineering for semiconductor ICs or modules.
- Experience with commercial test systems (examples: LTX, Teradyne J750/mFlex/UFlex, Advantest 93k, Eagle 364/800, NI, SPEA).
- Knowledge of test process controls and quality tools (Product CPK, correlation, GRR, MSA, 8D, FMEA).
- Strong analytical skills; able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Effective communication skills; proficiency in English and Chinese required.
- Project management knowledge is an advantage.
- Experience managing test suppliers or subcontractors is preferred.
- Required travel: approximately 10%.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. Six-sigma or lean-manufacturing certifications (or equivalent training) are advantageous.
