Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Manage technical direction and delivery of test development, tooling, and operations for wafer-level and fiber/edge-coupled photonics testing.
- Improve throughput, reliability, and capability of electrical and optical characterization platforms.
- Develop circuit-level and high-speed, production-worthy test methodologies.
- Increase test tool throughput, availability, and scalability via hardware and software improvements.
- Lead root-cause analysis of complex test failures and define repair and preventive monitoring strategies.
- Collaborate with component and product engineers to expand test coverage and optimize NPI and manufacturing tests.
- Drive development of test infrastructure, automation, and measurement methodologies aligned to product requirements.
- Analyze test data and deliver recommendations to guide engineering and manufacturing decisions.
- Mentor engineers and technicians and establish best practices for test development and operations.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience (concise):
- 10+ years experience in photonic device testing, electrical/RF testing, or PIC testing in R&D, NPI, and/or manufacturing environments.
- Practical experience with optical measurement systems (imaging, fiber alignment, fiber-coupled device characterization).
- Experience developing automated test systems, test software, data acquisition, and measurement infrastructure.
- Proven track record leading cross-functional technical teams and delivering projects from concept to deployment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including complex system-level failure investigation.
Nice-to-have:
