Role Summary
The Test Engineer will design and deliver test solutions for contactless technologies (NFC), wireless charging devices and upcoming Bluetooth Low Energy projects. The role spans definition of DFT and test hardware, development and maintenance of validation, qualification and production test programs, and support for production ramp-up and yield improvement.
Works within the Sophia Antipolis test team, collaborating with design, bench and production teams and mentoring junior test engineers.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in test activities.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining test requirements and delivering test solutions from first silicon through production ramp-up.
- Define and specify DFT requirements for new IP to meet performance targets.
- Define test hardware specifications (schematics and constraints) for selected ATE systems to ensure coverage and minimize test time.
- Support development of production test hardware starting at first silicon.
- Develop and maintain validation, qualification, characterization and production test programs for integrated circuits.
- Drive correlation activities with design and bench teams.
- Release test programs to production sites and support volume ramp-up.
- Lead hands-on efforts to improve yield and reduce test time without compromising quality.
- Mentor and support junior test engineers; participate in code peer reviews and design reviews.
- Support the test leader in project planning and resource allocation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and behaviors.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in test activities, with products in high-volume production.
- Familiarity with ATE test equipment; experience with Advantest 93k and/or Teradyne J750/µFlex preferred.
