Senior Test Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for owning production test strategy, ATE infrastructure and test solutions for analog/power integrated circuits. Collaborates with manufacturing, test vendors, fabs and data teams to improve yield, test coverage and cost for high-volume products.

Leads test development including ATE software, fixtures and probe cards; represents TI in customer and vendor technical discussions and cross-functional execution.

Experience Level

Senior - 12+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing and improving production test and yield processes:

• Troubleshoot test, quality, and device performance using analog circuit analysis and ATE debugging.
• Define and optimize test strategy balancing test cost, coverage and product quality.
• Develop test processes, fixtures and automated test equipment software for production.
• Drive ATE ecosystem roadmap and collaborate with AT sites, vendors, IT and IP teams.
• Establish quality benchmarks and data-analytics-driven yield improvement initiatives.
• Support multi-factory manufacturing test and assembly flows and correlate performance across sites.
• Perform yield analysis and work with fabs to improve manufacturing yield.

Requirements

Required technical skills and experience:

• 12+ years' relevant work experience.
• Proven ATE expertise; experience with ETS88, ETS800, Advantest V93K/EXAscale and handlers is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in data analytics and yield analysis.
• Probe card hardware and circuit design experience.
• Software development experience for test automation.
• Excellent debugging skills and strong VLSI fundamentals.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with production data analysis for engineering and mass production.
• Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Analytical, critical thinking, time management and problem-solving skills; ability to work in fast-paced, interrupt-driven environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field (posting lists Bachelor's Degree).
