Job Title

Senior Test Engineer

Role Summary

Lead development, deployment, and sustaining of test solutions for a foundry test organization. The role provides multidisciplinary technical leadership across mechanical, thermal, and electrical domains and coordinates internal teams and external suppliers to deliver scalable manufacturing-ready test solutions.

This role requires translating customer and business needs into execution plans, driving cross-functional programs on aggressive timelines, and advising management on technical risks and capability roadmaps. The position requires consent to an extended background investigation.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 10+ years of relevant experience leading teams in development and deployment of semiconductor test solutions into manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include end-to-end solution leadership, technical definition, supplier engagement, and cross-functional execution.

  • Lead the lifecycle of test solutions from concept through integration, deployment, and sustaining in manufacturing.
  • Define technical requirements and engagement strategies with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
  • Translate complex customer and business needs into engineering strategies, execution plans, and measurable deliverables.
  • Provide multidisciplinary technical leadership across mechanical, thermal, and electrical domains.
  • Advocate for customer requirements and ensure alignment across internal teams and the supply chain.
  • Evaluate and influence solution design approaches (custom, semi-custom, and industry-standard).
  • Drive cross-functional execution while managing quality, schedule, and technical risk.
  • Identify technical risks, emerging trends, and capability gaps and recommend mitigation and future-state solutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and industry partners to assess feasibility and resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate technical vision, tradeoffs, and progress to management, customers, and partners.
  • Support decision-making with engineering analysis and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Demonstrated experience across mechanical, thermal, and electrical aspects of test solution design and integration.
  • Must-have: Experience defining technical requirements, engaging suppliers, and delivering solutions to manufacturing at scale.
  • Must-have: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical vision and tradeoffs to stakeholders.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with custom and semi-custom test solutions and industry-standard test equipment; foundry or final test/assembly experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience collaborating with external suppliers and industry partners on complex technical integrations.

Education Requirements

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Applied Physics.
