Job Title

Senior Technical Program Manager - Software – Data Center & Enterprise AI

Role Summary

Drive end-to-end execution and delivery of software components (SDKs, libraries, tools, integrated solutions) that align with AMD's Data Center CPU and Enterprise AI platforms. Act as the primary program manager coordinating across silicon engineering, software development, product management, validation/QA, performance engineering and customer engineering.

Work spans pre- and post-design-win activities, release readiness, and cross-functional alignment to meet hardware milestones and customer commitments.

Experience Level

Senior — the role title indicates senior-level responsibilities. The posting expects multiple years of progressive hands-on experience in software program execution and technical leadership (no specific year minimum stated).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning, executing, and reporting software program delivery across hardware-aligned schedules.

  • Own software program execution for SDKs, software suites, and integrated solutions to meet scope, quality, and schedule targets aligned with hardware milestones.
  • Lead cross-functional release planning with software architects and product management.
  • Drive coordinated release readiness through core team meetings and gating activities.
  • Report overall software execution and release status to senior leadership; communicate schedule changes, critical issues, risks, and mitigation/recovery plans.
  • Manage software-related escalations and run tiger teams to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Align software roadmaps with CPU/GPU/AI accelerator technology roadmaps and lead migration strategies for customers on prior generations.
  • Support pre-design-win and post-design-win activities for strategic Enterprise AI and HPC accounts, including SDKs, evaluation kits, demos, and proofs-of-concept.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required to perform successfully in this role.

  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-site, multi-discipline engineering programs and software releases in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience driving software release execution and coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, product, validation, performance, customer engineering).
  • Strong leadership without direct reports: ability to influence and align stakeholders across engineering and business functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting status, risks, and recovery plans to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills: structured risk management, scenario planning, and data-driven decision making.
  • Solid understanding of SoC architectures and common IP blocks (CPU, GPU, AI accelerators, security IP).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent strategic programs and competing priorities across customers and product lines.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven automation for program delivery (requirements management, automated test pipelines, cross-functional reporting) is preferred.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
