Role Summary
Hardware Infrastructure seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead strategy and execution for EDA cluster bring‑up, decommissioning, operations, and modernization. The role coordinates cross‑functional engineering, defines program metrics, and delivers reliable, performant infrastructure that supports the chip roadmap.
Experience Level
Senior level; requires 12+ years of experience in software or hardware engineering and/or technical program management.
Responsibilities
Lead program strategy and coordinate execution across teams to scale cluster builds and decoms.
- Engage cross-company partners to shape technical strategy and coordinate programs to meet business objectives.
- Define and track program metrics (OKRs, KPIs) to measure success and drive improvements.
- Manage planning, prioritization, design, dependency management, and execution using agile methods.
- Drive tooling, automation, and process improvements to scale cluster operations and management.
- Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to diverse audiences including senior leadership.
- Serve as technical and non-technical liaison across a matrixed organization to align priorities.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership qualifications.
- 12+ years of experience in software or hardware engineering and/or technical program management.
- Experience with infrastructure software, production application development, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience operating large-scale EDA infrastructure across CPU/GPU architectures and familiarity with semiconductor design and EDA tool flows.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong multitasking and rapid context-switching abilities; focus on operational excellence.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and modern project-management tools.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing process and tooling improvements for engineering and release management.
Nice-to-have:
- Deep experience with infrastructure cluster buildouts and NPI hardware evaluation.
- Experience modernizing EDA infrastructure and treating platforms as a product.
- Experience migrating platforms from on-premises to cloud.
- Software development, release, and DevOps experience.
Education Requirements
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
