Senior Technical Program Manager - EDA Chip Infrastructure
Role Summary
Hardware Infrastructure seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead strategy and execution for EDA chip bringup, operations, and modernization. The role coordinates cross-functional engineering roadmaps, ensures reliability and performance of EDA infrastructure that supports the chip roadmap, and establishes program metrics and execution practices.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 12+ years of experience in software or hardware engineering and/or technical program management.
Responsibilities
Deliver and operate large-scale EDA infrastructure programs and drive cross-company coordination to meet bringup and production objectives.
- Define technical strategy and program plans; coordinate execution across engineering, partners, and stakeholders.
- Plan and prioritize work using agile program methodology; manage dependencies and track delivery.
- Establish metrics, OKRs, and KPIs to measure program health and identify improvements.
- Improve tooling, automation, and processes to scale cluster operations and infrastructure management.
- Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Act as liaison between developers, customers, and cross-functional leads to align on deliverables.
Requirements
Core qualifications and skills required for successful performance.
- 12+ years of experience across software or hardware engineering and/or technical program management with demonstrated technical and management expertise.
- Experience with infrastructure software, production application development, and large-scale distributed computing.
- Experience operating large-scale EDA infrastructure across CPU/GPU architectures and familiarity with semiconductor design, manufacturing processes, and EDA tools and flows.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Strong multitasking and rapid context-switching abilities; focus on thoroughness and delivery quality.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and modern project management tools.
- Proactive approach to process improvement, release management, and engineering operations.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with infrastructure cluster buildouts and NPI hardware evaluation.
- Experience modernizing EDA infrastructure or delivering platform-as-a-product; migrating platforms from on-prem to cloud.
- Software development, release, and DevOps experience.
Education Requirements
B.S. (or equivalent practical experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field was requested; equivalent experience is accepted.
