Role Summary

Lead and deliver software methodology programs that make NVIDIA chips testable, debuggable, and manufacturable at scale. This role sits within VLSI Engineering program management and coordinates across software, CAD, verification, and bring-up teams to align methodology releases with silicon milestones.

Experience Level

Senior - requires significant experience. The posting indicates 8+ years of combined experience built on a software engineering or computer science foundation, including a minimum of 3 years of technical program management experience.

Responsibilities

The program manager will own end-to-end planning, release, and adoption for DFX software methodology across infrastructure, implementation, verification, and silicon bring-up.

• Lead lifecycle for methodology programs: requirements, specification, release, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Build and align roadmaps, schedules, and dependencies for DFX flow, tool, and infrastructure releases with chip program milestones.
• Drive release and deployment processes: version planning, regression/quality gates, migration paths, and user adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering to define requirements, document architecture and interfaces, and participate in design reviews.
• Coordinate license and data infrastructure with CAD and IT to scale methodology programs.
• Lead verification and validation planning for methodology: pattern coverage, regression health, and sign-off criteria; prioritize debug tooling for bring-up.
• Identify technical, resource, and schedule risks; develop mitigations and report status with recommended trade-offs.
• Create metrics and dashboards for methodology health, adoption, and efficiency; drive automation and process improvements.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program-management skills relevant to ASIC/SoC flows and software/methodology programs.

• 8+ years of combined experience built on a software engineering foundation, with at least 3 years in technical program management.
• Solid understanding of ASIC/SoC design, verification, and bring-up flows, and how DFX integrates (DFT insertion, scan/ATPG/MBIST, pattern verification, ATE, in-system test, post-silicon debug).
• Experience managing software, tooling, or methodology programs: release cycles, quality gates, infrastructure dependencies, and user adoption.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally, influence technical teams, and communicate status and trade-offs to leadership.
• Strong problem solving, judgment, and written/verbal communication skills; able to operate in rapid development cycles and change.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with DFX methodologies.
• Experience scripting and automating tasks (Python preferred).
• Knowledge of APIs and data analytics for program metrics and dashboards.
• Track record of mentoring engineers or junior program managers.

Education Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
