Job Title
Senior Technical Marketing Architect — Datacenter & AI Systems
Role Summary
Define and drive next-generation datacenter and AI system architectures that demonstrate where Lattice FPGAs add value in control, orchestration, and security across compute, storage, and networking. This role sits within Technical Marketing and works closely with product, engineering, and ecosystem partners to create reference architectures, MRDs, and proofs of concept.
Experience Level
Senior — requires extensive senior-level experience; the posting specifies 12+ years in datacenter hardware architecture, technical marketing, or system design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on system architecture, technical marketing strategy, ecosystem engagement, and standards participation.
- Architect datacenter control solutions across compute, storage, and network domains, including BMC, RMC, and rack orchestration.
- Identify and define FPGA attach points for telemetry, power/cooling control, fabric management, and secure boot.
- Develop technical marketing artifacts: market requirement documents (MRDs), reference architectures, partner programs, and technical narratives.
- Collaborate with SoC, CPU, DPU, and accelerator vendors to co-design FPGA-enhanced system solutions and drive validation/deployment.
- Engage with cloud service providers (CSPs), OEMs, and ODMs to translate requirements into FPGA-based proofs of concept.
- Align with product and engineering teams to ensure design integrity, validation, and roadmap coherence.
- Represent the company in standards and industry forums (OCP, DMTF) to influence ecosystem direction.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items are listed separately.
Must-have:
- 12+ years in datacenter hardware architecture, technical marketing, or system design.
- Expertise in platform manageability and control: BMC, RMC, attestation, and telemetry.
- Knowledge of datacenter storage, networking, and power systems (PCIe/CXL, NVMe, Ethernet, cooling/thermal and power management).
- Familiarity with relevant standards: LTPI, SPDM, PLDM and other DMTF and OCP specifications.
- Proven ability to translate architectures into strategy and drive ecosystem adoption; experience working with hyperscalers, OEMs, or SoC vendors on validation and deployment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level presentations.
Nice-to-have (preferred):
- Experience with rack-scale orchestration, AI cluster or fabric management.
- Experience integrating FPGA/CPLD for control, telemetry, or security functions.
- Understanding of AI server architectures, accelerators, and thermal/power management.
- Published contributions to industry standards or specifications.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering (BS/MS in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering) as stated in the posting.
