Senior Technical Manager, Program Management

Role Summary

Manage end-to-end development of ASIC/SoC projects from architecture and RTL through tape-out to post-silicon validation. Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (RTL, physical design, verification, DFT) to deliver on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Primary focus: program planning, risk mitigation, milestone tracking, and stakeholder reporting.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 10–15 years of VLSI engineering experience with program or project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities for delivering complex silicon programs:

• Define project scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and success criteria; manage the full silicon lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (RTL, verification, physical design, DFT, analog/mixed-signal) to ensure timely hand-offs and integration.
• Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, and resource risks; drive resolutions and contingency plans.
• Track milestones, maintain program status, prepare reports, and manage stakeholder expectations and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with design methodologies, quality standards, and security reviews.

Requirements

Minimum technical qualifications and skills required.

• Proven program or project management experience in VLSI/ASIC/SoC development.
• Deep understanding of VLSI design flow, ASIC/SoC architectures, and EDA tools.
• Technical familiarity with digital, analog/mixed-signal design, DFT, and FPGA prototyping.
• Experience using project management software and standard program-management methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and cross-functional dependencies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
