Senior Systems Software Engineer, Windows and Linux Enablement - DGX Station
Role Summary
Owner for end-to-end OS enablement of NVIDIA's DGX Station with primary responsibility for Windows platform readiness and strong coverage of Linux. Work across firmware, drivers, CUDA, BMC, AI software teams, Microsoft, and ODM/OEM partners to deliver a production-quality developer and enterprise experience.

Senior β typically 12+ years of systems software engineering experience focused on platform bring-up, driver development, and OS integration.
Responsibilities
Hands-on engineering and cross-team coordination to bring DGX Station to production quality on Windows and Linux.
- Lead Windows platform enablement from initial bring-up through WHQL certification and shipping quality.
- Drive Linux bring-up and continuous enablement on DGX OS / Ubuntu (kernel modules, device tree/ACPI, systemd, initramfs, dkms packaging).
- Enable and validate BIOS/UEFI, BMC, ACPI, Secure Boot, power management, and other firmware across Windows and Linux.
- Coordinate GPU driver integration and validation on Windows (WDDM, MCDM) and Linux (open-gpu-kernel-modules, DRM/KMS); work with Microsoft and driver teams to resolve compatibility and certification issues.
- Validate CUDA and AI stack (cuDNN, TensorRT, NCCL, SDKs) and AI workloads (training, fine-tuning, inference) on Arm + GB300 platform.
- Design and run system validation and reliability tests: functional, stress, power/thermal, sleep/resume, update/upgrade compatibility, and long-duration reliability.
- Act as primary technical interface with Microsoft and ODM/OEM partners; coordinate schedules and resolve cross-company blockers.
- Profile and optimize system performance (boot time, GPU throughput, memory bandwidth, power/thermal behavior) and drive fixes across teams.
- Create and maintain platform documentation: bring-up guides, known issues, compatibility matrices, recovery procedures, and developer setup instructions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, platform experience, and collaboration abilities.
- 12+ years of confirmed experience in systems software engineering with deep expertise in Windows platform enablement, driver development, or OS integration.
- Deep experience with Windows internals: kernel-mode drivers, ACPI, power management, Secure Boot, UEFI, WDM/WDF, and WHQL processes.
- Proven Linux platform enablement skills: kernel modules, device tree / ACPI on Arm, systemd, initramfs, dkms, and packaging for Ubuntu/DGX OS.
- Experience with GPU driver stacks, display or compute drivers, and familiarity with DirectX, WDDM, DRM/KMS, or GPU compute APIs.
- Hardware platform bring-up, driver integration, validation, and certification experience for shipping products.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis across firmware, driver, and OS boundaries (WinDbg, kd/kgdb/crash, crash dump analysis, ftrace/ETW, profiling tools).
- Ability to coordinate across internal teams (GPU driver, CUDA, firmware, BMC, AI software) and external partners (Microsoft, ODM/OEMs).
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python. Experience with Arm architecture is a plus.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field β or equivalent practical experience.
