Senior Systems Software Engineer — EDA Infrastructure
Role Summary
Build and operate large-scale infrastructure and automation for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) platforms running on NVIDIA hardware. Partner with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain reliable platform services and tooling.
Experience Level
Senior — 8+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing, deploying, and operating infrastructure services and automation to support EDA workloads.
- Design, build, deploy, and run infrastructure services; manage the software lifecycle to meet business goals.
- Develop and maintain automation to remove manual toil and scale operations efficiently.
- Define internal service level objectives and error budgets; contribute to observability and monitoring strategies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and perform blameless incident response and prevention.
- Consult with peer teams on systems design best practices and implementation trade-offs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 8+ years of relevant infrastructure, systems, or platform engineering experience.
- Proficient in Python and/or Go; able to produce code without AI assistance during interviews.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and distributed systems design.
- Experience developing tools to operate large-scale private or public cloud systems in production.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux systems and containers.
- Proven ability to initiate projects, collaborate effectively, and influence cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Deep knowledge of networking and storage technologies; experience with CI/workflow engines.
- Experience duplicating complex production infrastructure into staging/test environments; BMaaS experience.
- Experience with multi-cloud infrastructures and platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker, or Slurm; familiarity with NVIDIA GPU-based systems.
- Experience leveraging AI assistants or automation to accelerate engineering workflows.
Education Requirements
BS in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience.
