RTL Design Jobs, Level - Senior

Job Title

Senior Systems Design Engineer

Role Summary

Join Qualcomm France (QITC) to build system-level platforms and infrastructure for CPU/NSP to DDR functional verification and performance analysis using RTL simulation and FPGA emulation.

The role focuses on integrating CPUs/NSPs and infrastructure IP (interconnects, memory controllers), developing testbench RTL/C models, running and debugging system-level testcases, and mapping platforms to emulators.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 5–10 years of relevant ASIC/system verification or integration experience. Candidates with equivalent experience who can demonstrate required competencies will be considered.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building and operating verification and emulation platforms and delivering functional test infrastructure.

  • Design and maintain system-level platforms for RTL simulation and FPGA emulation.
  • Integrate CPUs/NSPs and infrastructure IP into SystemVerilog testbenches.
  • Develop RTL/C testbench modules such as traffic generators and DDR memory models (SystemVerilog, DPI-C).
  • Run, debug, and validate integration and system-level testcases; diagnose RTL and integration issues.
  • Port and optimize the full platform for different hardware emulators.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and environment knowledge; items marked "nice-to-have" are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Must-have: Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL integration and testbench development; RTL simulation and debugging experience.
  • Must-have: Strong systems understanding - bus protocols and DDR memory subsystems; SoC integration experience.
  • Must-have: Experience with FPGA-based emulation methodologies and mapping platforms to emulators.
  • Must-have: Ability to develop testbench components in SystemVerilog and/or C using DPI-C.
  • Must-have: Comfortable working in Linux-based environments and using standard simulators/tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Python and C/C++ scripting for infrastructure and tooling.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience specifically with emulation flows and automation.
  • Languages: French and English proficiency required.

Education Requirements

Micro-electronics or similar engineering diploma preferred. Acceptable qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field (typically with 2+ years ASIC/verification experience), a Master’s degree (typically with 1+ years), or a PhD. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
