Job Title

Senior Systems Architect: HW/SW Solutions

Role Summary

Lead development of low-level firmware solutions and coordinate hardware and software teams to deliver enablement software and hardware IP for semiconductor products in the electronic communications domain.

Drive firmware architecture, debugging, validation, and cross‑IP compatibility to enable reuse across programs and support product development and testing.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, firmware design and delivery, and coordinating HW/SW integration.

  • Lead a team to develop low-level firmware and establish best practices for enablement software.
  • Design, develop, and test firmware and support semiconductor product development.
  • Manage interactions between hardware and software teams to standardize practices and interfaces.
  • Support HW and SW IP usage, integration, and debugging.
  • Establish methods to ensure compatibility across IP versions and maximize firmware reuse across programs.
  • Drive firmware validation and support debug using appropriate tools and instrumentation.
  • Provide occasional international travel (about 5%) to support global teams and programs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience.

  • Embedded software development
  • Microcontroller programming and architecture
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes and lab instrumentation
  • Debugging and firmware tools and workflows
  • Experience designing and architecting firmware solutions
  • Experience with GitLab (source control/CI)
  • Proficient in C or C++ programming
  • Firmware validation and SW flows/methodologies
  • Experience in roles such as Software Developer, Application Engineer, or Firmware Architect (posting references these backgrounds)

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, foreign equivalent, or a related field (as stated in the posting).
