Job Title
Senior System Validation & Integration Engineer - Intel IPU Projects
Role Summary
Lead system validation and integration for Intel IPU silicon and pre‑silicon projects within the Central Engineering Group. Work with architects, design, firmware, and software teams to enable features, validate system behavior, and resolve cross‑component issues.
Primary mission: define and execute system test plans, build automation and CI/CD for validation, and drive root‑cause analysis across hardware, firmware, and software.
Experience Level
Senior — 7+ years of relevant experience in system validation for pre‑silicon and silicon environments.
Responsibilities
Accountabilities include planning, execution, automation, and cross‑domain debugging.
- Lead system validation and integration for IPU silicon and pre‑silicon projects.
- Collaborate with architects, design, and firmware teams to define comprehensive test plans and requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, system test plans, and validation procedures for pre‑silicon and silicon environments.
- Perform system bring‑up, feature enablement, integration, and cross‑component debugging across HW/FW/SW.
- Conduct complex failure analysis and root‑cause investigations across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
- Apply AI and data‑driven methods for debug, anomaly detection, log analysis, and test optimization.
- Implement and drive CI/CD practices to improve coverage, scalability, and execution efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence validation methodologies and best practices.
- Operate validation and lab tools such as Lauterbach, LeCroy, IXIA, Wireshark, and other debug infrastructures.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and demonstrable experience.
- 7+ years of system validation experience in pre‑silicon and silicon environments.
- Strong experience with IP networking systems and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, traffic flows).
- Proven hands‑on debugging across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ and experience building scalable automation frameworks.
- Experience with networking and debug tools (Wireshark, Scapy, Tcprewrite, NetCat, iptables).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation in validation environments.
- Strong system‑level thinking and multidisciplinary understanding of embedded systems and HW/SW interaction.
- Leadership skills with experience in test planning, estimation, execution, and mentoring.
- Nice to have: experience applying AI/ML techniques to debugging, log analysis, or test optimization.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
