Senior System Software Engineer - Tegra MODS
Role Summary
Work on Tegra system software for complex heterogeneous SOC platforms used in automotive and datacenter modules. The role focuses on driver, firmware, kernel and user-space development, system validation, and cross-team debugging to improve platform robustness and performance.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include development, validation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure SOC/system reliability and performance.
- Develop drivers, tests, and frameworks across user-space, kernel, firmware, and boot software; own features through the full software lifecycle.
- Design and implement system-level use cases and tests to stress SOC power, thermal, noise, and bandwidth limits.
- Lead initiatives to improve software efficiency, robustness, and usability for design validation, thermal & power characterization, and manufacturing screening.
- Perform root-cause analysis and debug complex module/rack-level failures; recommend and drive software architecture remediations.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and partners to define requirements and drive delivery.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- 5+ years of professional experience in system or platform software.
- Familiarity with SoC architecture and experience working close to hardware.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across software and system layers.
- Excellent communication and planning skills; experience coordinating with multiple engineering teams.
- Nice-to-have: experience with pre-/post-silicon bringup, system validation testing, and working on large software projects and release lifecycles.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with ARM platforms and Linux kernel internals.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field (explicitly listed in the posting as BS/MS in computer science or other related fields).
