Role Summary
Senior engineer providing technical leadership for security and systems architecture across GPU kernel drivers, embedded software, and next-generation NVIDIA platforms. Responsibilities
Design, implement, and drive adoption of security and systems features across drivers, embedded software, and platform architectures.
- Architect, implement, and verify security and systems features for GPU kernel drivers and embedded software.
- Drive secure-design practices across code, development processes, and product architecture.
- Conduct software and hardware security reviews; identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
- Debug and resolve complex issues across drivers, OS kernels, embedded environments, hardware interfaces, and virtualization layers.
- Balance security, reliability, and performance requirements for large-scale inference and training workloads.
- Define and execute long-term security roadmaps with global software, hardware, and product teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, experience, and capabilities.
- 8+ years in systems software, embedded development, or security engineering.
- Experience securing low-level software: operating-system kernels, device drivers, embedded systems, or platform software.
- Strong C programming and low-level driver development skills; system-level debugging expertise.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, Android, ChromeOS, or comparable OS kernels.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture: processors, caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, interrupts, and memory protection.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, ownership, and ability to drive complex cross-functional projects.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for diverse technical audiences.
Nice-to-have:
- Offensive and defensive security experience: threat modeling, vulnerability research, reverse engineering, exploit mitigations.
- Familiarity with Confidential Computing technology.
- Experience with virtualization and isolation technologies: hypervisors, IOMMUs, virtual machines.
- Experience with GPU-driver architecture, embedded firmware/software, RTOS, RISC-V, or resource-constrained systems.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
