Senior System Software Engineer - GPU MODS
Role Summary
As a system software engineer on GPU MODS, you will develop tools and infrastructure to validate and test next-generation GPUs and high-performance compute servers. You will work with architecture, hardware and driver teams across the product development lifecycle to enable chip development, validation, and productization.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5+ years of relevant hardware/software experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on building software and diagnostics that exercise hardware and enable validation.
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware and driver teams during product development.
- Design and implement software tools and infrastructure for chip development, validation, and productization.
- Assess new hardware features and architect manufacturing diagnostic solutions using pre-beta driver extensions.
- Develop stress workloads and validation tests for GPUs and compute servers.
- Investigate and debug complex system-level issues across hardware and software layers.
Requirements
Required technical skills and professional behaviors.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Solid systems software background with emphasis on OS fundamentals and computer architecture.
- Experience working close to hardware and familiarity with PC architecture.
- Very strong problem solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to self-manage, lead tasks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have
- Experience with PCIe, NVLink, InfiniBand, Ethernet or similar server interconnect technologies.
- Previous experience working on a large system software codebase.
Education Requirements
BTech or MTech in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
