Job Title

Senior System Software Engineer

Role Summary

Design and implement kernel- and microcode-level system software for next-generation NVLink datacenter interconnects. Work across GPU, system, and ASIC teams to bring NVLink platforms from pre-silicon validation to production.

This role focuses on low-level software development, platform bring-up, verification, debugging, and customer/partner technical support.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 5+ years of relevant software development experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement NVLink features in C/C++.
  • Support platform bring-up from pre-silicon through production.
  • Develop and run verification, validation, and test plans for NVLink-connected systems.
  • Debug complex hardware/software interactions and resolve NVLink-related issues.
  • Collaborate with GPU architects, system architects, ASIC designers, firmware, and software teams.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and partners during bring-up and deployment.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting with Python.
  • Experience in system software, microcode, networking, or closely related areas.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, drivers, firmware, and security features.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices: design consensus, code reviews, testing, and production branching.
  • Understanding of hardware development lifecycles, including pre-silicon validation and bring-up.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
