Senior System Engineer
Role Summary
Systems Engineer on the NeXteam R&D team responsible for defining next-generation Power Management IC (PMIC) and signal-chain solutions. Translate advanced application requirements into IC specifications and partner with GaN, SiC, and advanced MOS teams to architect future power systems for markets such as Automotive/EV, Data Centers, and AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include product definition, cross-functional collaboration, and feasibility analysis to drive differentiated PMIC and power-system solutions.
- Identify breakthrough product concepts for high-impact markets (Automotive/EV, Data Centers, AI).
- Partner with GaN, SiC, and MOS teams to define power trees and system-level architectures.
- Translate customer and application requirements into technical IC specifications and PRDs.
- Serve as the technical interface between customers and internal analog/digital design and validation teams.
- Conduct performance, cost, and risk feasibility studies to maximize technical differentiation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience, plus several preferred qualifications.
Must-have:
- 10+ years in semiconductor systems engineering, applications engineering, or product definition.
- Strong understanding of power electronics, power topologies, and analog/mixed-signal ICs.
- Proven ability to translate complex system needs into actionable hardware specifications and product requirement documents.
- Experience working with cross-functional design and validation teams (analog, digital, silicon validation).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience defining PMICs, multi-phase regulators, or power trees for AI or Automotive systems.
- Familiarity with GaN, SiC, and BCD processes and related products.
- Experience with simulation, power integrity, thermal and EMI constraints, and silicon validation.
- IC design experience (e.g., 3+ years) and a record of patents in semiconductor product/circuit or power topology design.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Preferred: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
