Job Title

Senior System Architect

Role Summary

The Senior System Architect will define and drive end-to-end hardware architecture for Fractile products, spanning chip interfaces, interconnects, board design, thermal management, and system integration. You will work closely with digital, verification, firmware and software teams to translate architecture into functioning silicon and reliable hardware platforms, and be hands-on during prototyping, bring-up, and system testing.

Experience Level

Senior. No specific years of experience are stated.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver system-level architecture and roadmaps; ensure coherent integration across hardware, firmware and software.

  • Define and maintain the system architecture roadmap, balancing performance, power, and scalability.
  • Lead system-level design from concept through production; coordinate with chip design, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Specify system interfaces, power delivery networks, interconnects, and control subsystems.
  • Guide board and platform design to support early bring-up and validation.
  • Partner with software and firmware leads to ensure seamless integration and system-level performance.
  • Evaluate emerging components and technologies to inform architectural decisions.
  • Act as a technical mentor and enforce design discipline and documentation standards.
  • Represent system architecture in technical reviews, partner discussions, and customer engagements.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required to perform the role. "Must-have" items are listed first; "Nice-to-have" items follow.

  • Must-have: Proven experience as a Systems Architect, SoC Architect, or similar in semiconductor or high-performance computing domains.
  • Must-have: Deep understanding of system-level design including power, thermal, I/O, memory, and interconnect architectures.
  • Must-have: Strong familiarity with digital design flows and experience taking complex hardware systems from concept to mass production.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to define and manage system requirements, trade-offs, and cross-disciplinary integration.
  • Must-have: Comfortable working across hardware, firmware, and software; strong communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Background in AI acceleration, HPC, or data-centric architectures.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with FPGA prototyping and system bring-up.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with modelling and toolchains such as SystemC or MATLAB.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior start-up or scale-up experience and ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-iteration environments.
  • Note: Certain roles may require export-control eligibility checks or security clearance.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
