Role Summary

Join the Systems Architecture and Technology Group to define and influence Arm's product direction over the next 3–5 years. The role spans hardware and software domains to shape future Arm architectures and platform capabilities.

You will work across internal technology teams, partners and industry consortia to assess trends (for example generative AI), define system-level requirements, and help translate those into architecture and implementation strategies.

Responsibilities

The role combines technical leadership, cross-team collaboration, and strategic architecture work. Key responsibilities include:

• Define system-level architecture requirements for future Arm products and platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, software and tooling teams to drive coherent solutions across the stack.
• Engage with partners and industry consortia to influence ecosystem direction and standards.
• Assess technology trends (e.g., AI/ML, security, energy-efficient compute) and translate them into architecture roadmaps.
• Perform architecture trade-off analysis and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support deployment and adoption of new technologies across the Arm ecosystem.

Requirements

• Must-have: Solid understanding of computer architecture concepts and trends (CPU, GPU, hardware acceleration).
• Must-have: Strong programming and analytical skills.
• Must-have: Clear verbal and written communication for expert and non-expert audiences.
• Must-have: Ability to work across hardware and software teams and to influence technical direction.
• Nice-to-have: Arm architecture fundamentals, vector processing and parallel programming.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with machine learning or agentic AI, robotics/simulation frameworks, or architecture performance analysis and optimization.

Education Requirements
