Senior System Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Senior application/system engineering role focused on defining and debugging analog IC products for AI, data center and telecom applications. The role works with design, field applications, and marketing teams to deliver DC/DC and power management solutions, reference circuits, and technical documentation.

The team provides technical support and training for key customers and develops application notes, datasheets and system-level power management solutions for high-performance computing, networking, server and cloud markets.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 3–5+ years in power electronics/power IC applications; PhD candidates in Electrical Engineering are also considered.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer support, product definition, reference designs, and technical publications.

  • Provide application technical support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, field applications, and marketing to define and debug analog/digital IC products in DC/DC converters, core power conversion, and DrMOS applications.
  • Develop application reference circuits and system-level power management solutions for high-performance computing, networking, server and cloud markets.
  • Write datasheets, application notes, design notes and technical papers for conferences and publications to promote products.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred technical skills and attributes.

  • Hands-on experience in switch-mode power supplies (DC/DC, AC/DC, or inverters).
  • Fluent English with strong customer communication skills.
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work cross-functionally with design and marketing teams.
  • Preferred: experience with low-voltage/high-current multi-phase buck converter design/test/optimization for CPU/GPU power delivery.
  • Preferred: prior experience at a power supply manufacturer or power management IC company.

Education Requirements

M.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 3–5 years' relevant experience, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering required.
