Senior Standard Cell Design Engineer - Monte Carlo / SPICE / Characterization
Role Summary
Contract engineering role to design, verify, and characterize transistor-level standard cell schematics for ASIC/SoC projects. The engineer will perform SPICE simulation, Monte Carlo analysis, and standard-cell library characterization and work with Physical Design, CAD, and Verification teams to support successful silicon implementation.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include schematic design, simulation, and library characterization for advanced process nodes.
- Design and verify standard cell transistor-level schematics for ASIC/SoC use.
- Port existing schematics to new technology nodes and develop new cells as required.
- Perform SPICE-based circuit simulation, debugging, and validation.
- Run Monte Carlo simulations to verify robustness and performance across process/voltage/temperature/Ο variations.
- Characterize standard cell libraries for custom PVTS conditions using industry characterization flows.
- Collaborate with Physical Design, CAD, and Verification teams to resolve issues and support silicon bring-up.
Requirements

- 10+ years of experience in Standard Cell Design or VLSI circuit design.
- Hands-on schematic design and transistor-level circuit analysis experience.
- Expertise in SPICE-based circuit simulation and debugging.
- Experience performing Monte Carlo analysis and executing standard cell characterization flows.
- Familiarity with industry EDA tools used for characterization and validation.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fundamentals, timing, power, and reliability concepts.
