Role Summary

Senior Staff Test Solutions Engineer owns ATE-based production test solutions across the product lifecycle, from design bring-up to high-volume manufacturing readiness. The role develops test architectures, characterizes silicon and test equipment, and drives yield, reliability, and quality improvements for custom silicon used by hyperscaler customers.

Works across design, DFT, operations, reliability, and customer teams to define test strategy, validate coverage, and implement efficient, manufacturable test methods.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 10+ years of experience in product engineering, test engineering, DFT, or technology characterization.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and delivering ATE production tests and defining test strategies that meet customer and manufacturing requirements.

• Design and own ATE test architecture, bring-up activities, and detailed test plans.
• Define experiments and perform in-depth analysis to validate yield, performance, and reliability.
• Develop test screening and timing-margin strategies optimized for test time and coverage.
• Characterize ATE, silicon variations, and test limits through data-driven evaluation.
• Perform failure root-cause analysis and establish robust test margins to protect yield.
• Collaborate with design, DFT, operations, reliability, and customers to align test requirements and schedules.
• Iterate test solutions based on ATE characterization and customer system feedback.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role effectively.

• 10+ years of experience in product engineering, test engineering, DFT, or technology characterization.
• Expertise in ATE test development, automated test equipment, and design-for-test methodology.
• Strong skills in statistics and data analysis to drive yield and reliability conclusions.
• Experience with semiconductor process technology, reliability, and qualification methodologies.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Perl, R) in a Linux environment; experience applying AI/ML for data analysis, test optimization, or yield learning.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills for technical and cross-functional audiences.
• Demonstrated analytical problem solving and experience driving root-cause analysis under ambiguity.
• Note: This position may require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; candidates may be subject to an export license review prior to employment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
