Senior Staff Test Engineer

Role Summary

As a senior staff test engineer in Operations, you will develop and validate test programs and hardware to qualify Marvell silicon, ensuring products meet specifications and yield targets. You will collaborate with design, product, and DFT/DFM teams to create test methodologies, optimize test flows, and release production programs.

Eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans.

Experience Level

Senior-level; typical requirement: 6+ years of relevant test engineering experience (see Education Requirements for degree and years guidance).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop characterization, production, and wafer-sort test programs on the Advantest 93K ATE.
• Design tester hardware and high-speed test solutions.
• Create detailed test plans, documentation, and test methodologies to meet product specifications.
• Convert test patterns from design simulation to ATE format.
• Participate in testability reviews with DFT/DFM to improve yield and test coverage.
• Lead test flow optimization, test-time reduction, and production program release.
• Develop new testing strategies and test code when current equipment or methodologies are insufficient.
• Collaborate with design and product engineers to ensure testability and compliance with customer specifications.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behavioral expectations:

• Minimum 6+ years of test program development experience on the Advantest 93K ATE platform.
• Proven experience with ATE testing, test methodology, silicon process knowledge, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing.
• 4+ years experience with C/C++, Perl, Python, and working in a Linux environment.
• Strong problem solving, effective communication, teamwork, and accountability.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience with test flow optimization, yield improvement, and production release processes.

Nice-to-have: experience designing tester hardware, wafer-sort test development, and characterization expertise.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5–10 years of professional experience; or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience.
