Job Title
Senior Staff R&D Engineer, Full-Stack Development
Role Summary
Design and implement full-stack platform components for a Physical AI system spanning backend services, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces. Integrate AI/ML, simulation, and 3D visualization to enable engineers to simulate and interact with complex environments.
Work on an R&D engineering team responsible for platform architecture, performance, developer experience, and end-to-end feature delivery from design through production.
Experience Level
Senior-level; typically 8+ years of software development experience building production systems across backend and frontend layers.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include full-stack design, implementation, and operational support of the Physical AI platform.
- Design and build backend services, data pipelines, and frontend applications for the platform.
- Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using React or similar frameworks and collaborate with UX/UI designers.
- Integrate AI/ML components, APIs, and simulation workflows into a cohesive platform architecture.
- Write and maintain code in Python, C++, and JavaScript/TypeScript across backend and frontend.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring for cloud and on-premise environments.
- Debug and resolve complex full-stack issues, from API performance bottlenecks to 3D rendering problems.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 8+ years building production software across backend and frontend technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and C++ for backend services and performance-critical components.
- Frontend development experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js; strong HTML/CSS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript patterns.
- Experience designing and deploying scalable architectures on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with OpenUSD (Universal Scene Description), NVIDIA Omniverse, WebGL, Three.js, or other 3D simulation/visualization frameworks.
Education Requirements
